Colorful Stage The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing Review
By Haydenzoned231
Well you may have heard of Vocaloid.
I mean who doesn't?The Hatsune Miku franchise has been around for many years, so it's about time that she would get a movie (and maybe a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame).
If you like Hatsune Miku and the Vocaloid crew, then this movie is right for you (somewhat).
So Colorful Stage The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing (Jesus, that's a mouthful.) centers around these universes called Sekais.
And in these Sekais are these Mikus for each genre, there is one for Pop, one for Rock, one for Hip-Hop, and one for the idol business in Japan.
But, in one of these Sekais sit this Miku and she cannot sing (kind of what the name of the movie implies), and she goes to these people for help, because she wanted to learn how to sing.
And so she did, while trying to be discreet to the public eye, because for some reason if someone sees another Miku, then that person would lose their mind and end up in a rubber room, a rubber room with rats, and the rats will make them crazy.
Anyways, Miku goes and learns but for some reason, she couldn't do it, even after these people teached her their songs.
So she showed them what her Sekai is, and they realize that this Miku is trying to help other people find their voice, but they gave up instead of trying.
Then, she drowned all the Mikus of the other Sekais and then these people try to make do with Miku being gone, So they gritted their teeth and gone to work, then they performed Miku's Song (the one that can't sing, yeah apparantly she made Lyrics) in their own style.
Then the non-singing Miku came out and showed her real self, which she looks like a Fantasy Character tbh.
And everything goes back to normal! with all of the Sekai Mikus back to their respective places and more.
So this movie is so good, with the story and the Visual being key aspects
But, the problem is that there are too many Characters for me (or any regular Joe) would comprehend, i mean, it's like the Spider-Verse Movies, but Anime.
I mean, it would have been nice if they could cut down on how many Mikus there are.
And there are these characters that never really come out, and there aren't any introductions for these characters so that someone could differentiate the characters and know about them, so when A Miku Who Can't Sing 2 comes out, they can go back to where they were.
👍 (Pros): Good story, visuals, and Character Design.
👎 (Cons): No way of knowing which character is which unless you play Project Sekai before.
If you want to check out this movie, it's available on Amazon, iTunes, YouTube (Buy/Rent) or Fandango at Home.
